Best dressed at the BAFTAs 2013

Forget the unfortunate British weather of rain – not to mention the reappearance of some snow in central London, the stars were gracing the red carpet outside the Royal Opera House (some of them freezing might I add) looking absolutely fabulous.

One of my faves Dermot O'Leary along with his X Factor partner in crime Caroline Flack hosted the E! Live from the Red Carpet for the event, bringing back the infamous Mani-Cam and Stilleto-Cam.

Here are my red carpet loves:

Anne Hathaway has come along way from the innocent star of The Princess Diaries to a woman who knows how to dress for the occasion. Wearing a black Burberry gown with gold detailing, she is a subtle stunner.

Unlike the majority of the dark red carpet, this next dress brightened up the dark and gloomy evening. Going for an exquisitely classic strapless look, Marion Cotillard donned a very bold yellow Dior gown from the Spring 2013 couture runway collection.

SATC star Sarah Jessica Parker continues as the trend setter (and breaker in this case) we've always known and loved by walking down the damn carpet in a black jumpsuit by Elie Saab – unlike her female counterparts (aside from MTV's Laura Whitmore who also donned a plunge black jumpsuit by Alexandre Vauthier) who all wore floor length gowns.

Another shocker of the evening was Helen Mirren's cutesy candy pink crop hair do which made its debut on the BAFTAs 2013 red carpet. The designer of her dress is still TBC.

Next we have the stunning Juno Temple who rocked the carpet in a simply styled white Stella McCartney gown with black detailing.

Other stars in attendance included Bradley Cooper, Ben Afleck and George Clooney, as well as the infamous reining couple Tim Burton and Helena Bowham Carter among the A-List invitees.

The British Academy of Film and Television Awards 2013 was sponsored by EE. Watch the awards ceremony at 9pm tonight (10/02/13) on BBC1.
