Pretty in (fluorescent) pink

Having watched the new film, Gangster Squad in the cinema last weekend, I was in awe of how much of a babe Emma Stone was in her scenes as the main female actress (not to mention the hotness of Ryan Gosling!). While she was dressed in 1940s attire suited to that particular decade for the film, she still looked incredible. For Emma, this isn't just the work of a stylist on a film set as she's already proven to be a trend setter, capable of stealing the limelight of her fellow actresses, such as Lea Michelle and Emma Watson.

The one occasion in particular I have noted is the gorgeous fluorescent pink chiffon Valentino dress from the Resort 2013 collection that Emma wore to the ELLE's Women in Hollywood celebration back in October 2012. The dress features a chiffon overlay, with a white Peter Pan collar and cuffs. She accessorised this with a touch of Autumn/Winter glam using a small black Valentino studded clutch bag and a pair of houndstooth heels by Ferragamo. The black and white houndstooth design was a great trans-seasonal trick she's used – the design represents last season while the colours were an introduction to the monochrome black/white staples we're currently seeing.

At only 24, this young actress's style and career are certainly going from strength to strength, so I expect we'll be seeing a lot more of her this year.
