Best Dressed Girls at the MTV Movie Awards 2011

On the evening of 5th June 2011, the MTV Movie Awards 2011 were held at Universal Studios Gibson Amphitheatre in Uni City, California. It seems the girls attending had the perfect summer evening to show off their extravagant outfits. Here’s a taster of some of my favourites of the best dressed:

Our very own British actress turned model Emma Watson, 21 stunned all in an ivory jewel encrusted Marchesa short white dress, finishing her look with a pair of metallic silver Brian Atwood heels. From a child star to a now gorgeous fashion savvy young woman, Emma has dazzled us with her impecable style and haircuts over the recent years.

Gossip Girl‘s Leighton Meester, 25, went all out by opting for a selection of designers to complete her red carpet look. She wore a Balmain dress (one that is from the future Autumn/Winter 2011 collection) teamed with Pierre Hardy shoes. The star accessorized her look with a Paco Rabane bag and some Bulgari jewels. Good work Meester!

Balmain certainly made quite an impression on our attendees last night as even Kristen Stewart, 21, turned up in a red leather dress covered in safety pins, studs and stars by the same designer. This particular dress is definitely one of a kind, as it has only ever been presented as a jacket – part of the Spring 2011 collection. So the Twilight star definitely got her hands on a great piece.

Last but not least, we have one more lovely talented model and actress from the British Isles, 24-year-old Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Her outfit of choice was a long sleeved animal print dress by Dolce & Gabbana, which was complimented by a pair of Lancia tricolour patent wedges and a black clutch bag by Ferragmo. It’s safe to say her outfit was a show stopper.

The MTV Movie Awards 2011 is showing on television tonight at 9pm on the MTV channel.

So since the wedding, we’ve heard all the latest about Cheryl Cole being tipped as the new judge on the USA X Factor (with the help of dear old Simon Cowell of course). She turned up to the auditions in an orange Oscar de la Renta top, teamed with Diane von Furstenberg trousers and a turquoise belt. It reminded me of a very 70s style scooby doo outfit in all honesty! Although, Ms. Cole can normally pull of anything and I weirdly grew to like this.

She certainly achieved colour blocking to the max and her bouffant hair only added to her unique style! I can’t deny that I would have loved to have seen her shoes as sadly these gorgeous trousers seem to be trailing the floor, but I guess with a salary like hers, it really doesn’t matter too much.

What a shame we won’t get a chance to see her infamous glamourous outfits on the UK X Factor this year (the one that springs to mind from last year’s series was a David Koma special – who’s now teamed up with Topshop to create a few lines) as she’s being replaced by true young Brit, Tulisa from N-Dubz along with ex-Destiny Child Kelly Roland. I wonder what these two will have in store?
