Balenciaga Ready to Wear SS14

Presented at Paris Fashion Week.

A lot of white, pale pink, pale blue and chiffon graced the mirrored catwalk for this show, enabling everyone from all angles the ability to see the models in an almost 360 degree view. What a simple, yet cleverly effective technique.

Short skirts and midi skirts are still solidly present for the next season, as we're introduced to the 'off-the-shoulder' as opposed to a bare midriff, along with shaped leather, and trousers with a peplum skirt on top. Anyone noticing some of these trends from the 90s (though there was probably an original earlier) coming swiftly back into fashion?

This collection incorporates femininity with bold simplicity, and it's certainly a great one for Alexander Wang's second collection for Balenciaga as their Creative Director.
