Burberry Prorsum Ready to Wear SS14

Presented in London Fashion Week.

This has got to be my favourite Burberry collection to date – and that’s a strong statement to make.

Christopher Bailey claimed that he wanted this collection to celebrate the strong woman, rather than the bloodless wraiths who have often haunted the Burberry catwalk.

With an excessive use of lace, which allowed us to see the models underwear and somewhat outerwear (very Bridget Jones with the high waisted large pants). This collection incorporates soft textures partnered with equally soft cashmere cardigans, oversized mid length coats along with longer length macs which accentuate the feminine silhouette. Cute clutch bags and sunglasses teamed with nude and heeled sandals – each in the colours of the collection really add the finishing touches to each look.

Mostly pastel colours including pink, blue, mint green and lilac sometimes mixed with a latex feel (as seen on the see-through clear jacket on the final 47th look worn by Cara Delevigne herself), along with some embellishment – this collection particularly celebrates the English Rose.

Here are my picks of this gorgeous 47 piece collection:
