X Factor 2013: Judges Auditions

Last month I got to keep up with my yearly tradition of welcoming back X Factor. That's right, I headed to the auditions for a second year in a row – only this time, it was even better! Here's what happened…

Date: Thursday 18th July 2013

Venue: Wembley Arena

Atmosphere: Manic!

As an avid fan of X Factor (most who know me know my obsession), it was only right for me to head to the 2013 Judges Auditions round at Wembley Arena.

I headed straight to the queue after seeing the faces of the anxious contestants waiting to audition.

As you can imagine the queues were a tad long, but overall the atmosphere, and the fact it was one of the hottest days of the year made it all the more fun!

Once inside we were shown to our seats RIGHT BY THE FRONT (oh yeah!) just a few rows back from the judges chairs, facing the infamous massive X on the screen at the back of the stage.

Roycey – the half-time entertainment comedian came on, and provided the audience with some great laughs before we were graced with Dermot O'Leary (I not-so-secretly love him) and the official X Factor music!

The crowds rose from their seats, camera phones in hands, stomping of feet and screaming of lungs while the Judges made their big entrance and walked to their chairs.

2013 X Factor sees Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh take on new challenges as thousands of new potentials audition in front of live audiences to win their place in the X Factor Final 12.

The Judges Auditions definitely changed from last year, as it seemed this time around, all contestants were actually decent singers. Last year, some were just priceless entertainment (with sadly, no singing talent). There were even some familiar faces who had previously made it through to Boot Camp and the Judges Houses rounds, all hoping for second and third chances. So soon we'll find out!

X Factor returns to our screens for weekend viewing on 31st August 2013 on ITV. I'll be watching (religiously as always), will you?
