Wow. This year is literally FLYING by! It seems like only last week I was posting some of my favourite looks from the Autumn/Winter '13 fashion season back in February! And here we are, September 2013 already looking to the Spring/Summer '14 season, beginning with Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.
This catwalk show was presented at New York Fashion Week on day one.
Whiter than white, alongside its opposite – black. Some chiffon, mesh and new season soft florals make way for the upcoming trends. It's a slight move forward from the current monochrome/houndstooth and winter florals designs, as these bold non-colours are now mixed with lighter, softer floral tones as we get ready to welcome the sun back into our lives.
These looks entertain the idea that cropped tops and bralets are still very current in the upcoming fashions, so don't start filing them away to your vintage piles just yet. Feminine shapes among the reappearing midriff along with sleek, simple cuts. Clashing these new soft prints, with a hint of our current season pink hue (only bolder) and definition with thigh high slits. I can already say I'm excited to see what next season has to offer.
